One of the best side effects of obsessively photographing my friends is that they’ve started to come up with their own photo shoot ideas! Ellen approached me a few months ago about incorporating some of her vintage-style furniture and accessories into a photo session. I took things one step further by suggesting we bring everything into the woods – and since Ellen is awesome, she was completely game for it!

Here are some tidbits about Ellen: she loves to write, she became a published author as a teenager, she has an affinity for pretty vintage items, and she has a perhaps not-so-secret love for sci-fi. I just love these photos of her because they’re a perfect portrayal of her sweet whimsical nature. To quote a song sung on last week’s episode of Glee (yes, I know, I’m a total dork), “Isn’t she lovely?”
