It's easy to lose track of seasons living in Los Angeles, where the sun shines almost every day and the weather remains consistently blissful. Yet it's felt more like summer this year than ever before, thanks to splendid days filled with bike rides, baseball games, hikes, concerts, treats, and picnics with friends. I'm incredibly grateful for the past couple of months - for all of the people who have graced my life and for the adventures I've shared with them. It's truly been a delight.
I leave today for a month and a half of photographing on the east coast - the longest stretch of time I'm going to spend in New England since I moved to LA over three and a half years ago. While it's going to be admittedly strange being away from this city that has somehow grown into my home, I'm being very mindful to stay present and to enjoy whatever each new day brings as I continue my journey on this dream career path.
Before I go - here is a (long) look at this joyous summer in So-Cal - a mix of snapshots, Fuji Instax photos, and Instagrams. Kicking it off with a lazy Sunday at the newly re-opened Echo Park Lake in June...
