Married // Amanda & Brendan // New Hampshire

The way I met Amanda & Brendan is definitely one of those "small world" stories. They went to high school with one of my dear Emerson College friends, Megan. When Amanda contacted me about photographing her backyard wedding, she had no idea that I was from New Hampshire - or that her dad's new house was literally .25 miles away from my parents'! Needless to say, it was fate.

Amanda and Brendan's day was SO fun and joyful. These two have such an awesome time together, and they clearly bring incredible happiness to everyone around them! They put immense thought into the DIY details of their day and transformed the scenery into a perfect wedding venue. I'm beyond thrilled that I met these two and their amazing loved ones. Here are some favorites from their day!

Life // On the East Coast

I've been pretty quiet on the blog this week, so instead of Friday Faves I figured I'd write a little something! It's been a whirlwind week and a half on the east coast - my second of four trips here this fall. I've driven to seven states, photographed some gorgeous moments, and have truly been running at full speed - and as anyone who knows me can tell you, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm one of those people who keeps moving until the point of exhaustion, but then if I sit still for just a little while, I get restless from being unproductive. Anyone else do this to themselves? There truly aren't enough hours in the day...!

In between traveling, photographing, and editing, I've been able to connect with some friends and family who I haven't had the chance to see in a long time. This has been SO rewarding! Yesterday I surprised my brother, Adam, and got to spend the afternoon looking at vinyl records, drinking tasty beverages, and talking for hours, just the two of us, for the first time in forever. Wedding festivities begin today for my dear friend Alyssa, and once again I get to be reunited with all of my high school best ladies. I also went up to Maine to visit with my sweet cousins, Grace and Jamie, and see their awesome new apartment. Grace just returned from serving 9 months in Afghanistan, and in celebration of her safe return, we took some portraits. Much more to come on these, but I just had to share a couple right now.
