Sometimes a visual for a photo will pop into my mind, and I can’t rest easy until it’s brought to life. This shoot is one such example – I couldn’t get the idea of a couple surrounded by records out of my head! My stipulations for the couple – they have to be passionate about music, buy records on vinyl, and they have to be truly in love.

Lucky for me I have Megan and Mitchell! Not only are they head-over-heels for each other, but they have fantastic taste in music and own matching headphones. On top of that, Mitchell’s record collection put mine to shame. He generously let me take several of his favorites out of their protective plastic covers for this shoot (and tried not to look concerned over the fact that they were going on grass). We spent the afternoon surrounded by some of their favorite albums and then shot a bit around the neighborhood. I just adore these photos, and these two people.
