Summer is upon us! Here’s a mix of several favorite songs from the past month. These are mostly newer releases with some old ones thrown in for good measure (because what would a June mix be without the Decemberists’ “June Hymn”?). Laura Mvula’s new album Sing To the Moon is climbing on my list of 2013 favorites, and Glenn Jones’ all instrumental guitar record My Garden State is simply stunning. I’d especially love it if Los Angeles had a rainstorm like the one heard on “Alcouer Gardens”…maybe, LA? Maybe? Also looking forward to seeing Josh Rouse in concert this weekend with my cousins!
