Ah, Valentine’s Day. This holiday seems to garner a lot of controversy, but I adore it. I know, I’ve definitely said that before! I just have great appreciation for a day that gives us an opportunity to express love in all forms. Plus it usually includes a lot of hearts…
Speaking of hearts – this shoot is a result of serendipity, and of having incredible, creative friends. Since Becca, my partner-in-heart-cake-making moved to London, I was going to make one alone this year, maybe take some simple photos, and call it a day. Luckily, Jennie and Corelyn of Garlic, My Soul reached out and offered to help make the cake with me. Before I knew it, we pulled together a full shoot with the help of the always amazing Kelly of Studio DIY in a week and a half. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
To close – this candid of Scarlett & Jeremy after we had wrapped the session. Ah, l’amore!
