I keep forgetting that I haven’t known Katie and Jason for years. In fact, I met them on their wedding day – but they’re the type of people who exude such warmth and kindness that I truly felt like I’d known them forever. These two met years ago at a Christmas party thrown by mutual friends. They share a love of reading, crafting, cooking, learning, and traveling, and constantly seek new adventures together. Katie works on Capitol Hill, and Jason is a teacher. Together, they are an incredible pair…and just so sweet. Their wedding took place at River Farm in Alexandria, Virginia on the most perfect sunny spring day.
Be forewarned, this is a long entry…I just couldn’t help myself! Katie and Jason made their photos a huge priority, which I loved them for. A giant thanks, also, to my second photographer Julia Reed! Without further delay, here are some of my favorites from Katie and Jason’s gorgeous day.
Best. Clufflinks. Ever.
If you follow my blog, you might notice a familiar face in the background!
Katie and Jason traveled to Japan together a few years back and fell in love with the culture, so they incorporated a lot of Japanese elements into their wedding. I was obsessed with these cranes.Love these two ladies so much!
Becca came all the way from London! We had to dance a little!
Stay tuned tomorrow for Katie & Jason’s sunrise day after session in Washington, DC – complete with cherry blossoms!
