Engaged // Abby & Adam // California Orange Grove

You guys. I had the best weekend. I spent two full days learning from Max & Margaux and Our Labor of Love at their Feet First workshop and feel more inspired then ever. I’m going to write a separate entry about my experience, but it’s such a part of who I am in this very moment that I couldn’t not mention it. Check out the Feet First LA Tumblr here to see a peek at what the workshop looked like!

Anyways, now onto why I started writing to begin with! Abby and Adam. I simply adore them. They are incredible clients who put immense thought into their session – location scouting, prop planning, outfit coordinating…and their efforts more than paid off! These two are so much more than just clients of mine though; they have become wonderful friends. I’m incredibly grateful to know them and to have the opportunity to document their love. They are so kind-hearted, thoughtful, and fun – and I think their photos truly reflect this. We did their session in an orange grove, which was my dream come true. We also took some photographs down in Manhattan Beach when they came down for a visit last week. Here are some of my favorite images from our adventures!
Adam’s dad collects vintage bikes – how cool is that??
Now onto our cloudy day in Manhattan Beach! Adam proposed on a beach in North Carolina, plus MB is one of their favorite places…so this was perfect.
The sun this afternoon was nonexistent, so we decided to call it a day because it grew dark very quickly. I turned around while we were walking back to the house to see this vibrant color over the horizon. Such a wonderful, unexpected gift.
A huge shout out to Adam’s Dad for his help with their session. Also, Abby and Adam – thank you for this. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this fall in New Hampshire!
