It’s pretty rare that I get to photograph a wedding and attend as a guest, but such was the case for the autumn nuptials of my dear friends Jeff and Jennie! We agreed early on that I would be able to dance my heart out with all of our loved ones and fully enjoy their reception once the crucial photography was finished. Thus, I wanted an outfit that was both practical as a wedding photographer (ie: longer in length, not low cut, and really easy for me to move in) but also something awesome for this special occasion. This ASOS floral midi dress made my dreams come true!
I almost always wear my hair up when I shoot a wedding, and I love creating new styles for each event! This fishtail updo was extra funky.
Mike was sweet enough to take these photos of me in my childhood neighborhood before we drove down to Rhode Island (and before I got sweaty photographing at the beach on an 80+ degree day)!
Have any of you tried Rent the Runway? I rented these Kenneth Jay Lane earrings! They were gorgeous but super heavy – I took them off when it came time to dance!
This dress is basically my favorite ever. It’s stretchy, romantic, and incredibly comfortable!
These Modcloth heels are so good! I never wear heels when I shoot, but these worked just fine. Definitely switched to flats for the reception though!
Again, you can see Jeff & Jennie’s wedding photos here!
