2013 has arrived! It honestly snuck up on me. I enjoyed 2012 and am so grateful for all of the personal and creative growth the year brought along. That said, I’m always eager to begin a new year. A new year holds endless potential – it’s a goal-oriented optimist’s dream. As is the case with every year, I’m tackling 2013 with a long list of ambitions. Here’s a look (on the left) at the 2012 list that served as a motivator on the (rather dirty) kitchen chalkboard all year. On the right is what I’ve been doing over the holidays – snuggling with my parents’ dog, Suzy, and letting myself relax.
Okay, so I aim a bit high. No, not all of the goals on that list were achieved (what can I say, I hate flossing). But instead of focusing on what I didn’t do, I’m trying to look at what I did accomplish. At how much progress I’ve made, and all that I’ve learned.
I’m writing this on the last day of my visit home. I was fortunate enough to come back to New Hampshire for over two weeks, which has provided for a lot of quality time with loved ones. George and I spent New Year’s Eve with my four best friends from high school and their respective signifiant others. These four ladies haven’t made nearly enough of an appearance on this blog, mostly due to the fact that one of us (ahem) moved across the country. Here are some silly photos from our New Year’s Eve together!

Morkie makes a nice addition to our group!
We’re a little weird.
I love these girls so much. We vowed when we graduated high school that we would remain best friends, and cheesy as it may be, I’m so grateful that we’ve kept our promise over the years. 2013 is an especially awesome year for us since Molly is getting married in August! She’s the first in the group, and we are beyond excited to be a part of her day.
2013 is going to be good. I can tell. Thank you to EVERYONE who has provided their incredible support and encouragement. You keep me motivated to make better photographs and to pursue this dream.
Wishing everyone a wonderful year ahead. To close, here’s a photo of Liz and Christopher from my very last couple’s session of 2012.
So many photos to come.
